UPDATE FOR ALL PARENTS

5th Mar 2021

We look forward to welcoming our Primary 1-3 children back on Monday for face-to-face teaching. Please refer to my previous letter for a reminder of drop-off and pick-up times. Children will need a snack and their stocked pencil case with them (lunch boxes are permitted). Remember to ensure social distancing in the school car park and follow all PHA guidance when coming to and from the school. The school's Covid-19 protocols will be in place as normal and you should not send your child to school if they are feeling unwell or showing any of the Covid-19 symptoms (high temperature / new continuous cough / loss or change of smell or taste). You will be contacted to collect your child should the school feel that they are showing symptoms and we will ask you to call the 119 helpline for further guidance.

Please encourage good hand hygiene at all times at home and when coming to and from school.

School meals will be available for all P1-3 children from Monday. Children within the supervised learning group will need to continue taking in their own snack and packed lunch as usual.

Remote Learning: P4-7 teachers will now schedule Seesaw activities for 6pm the evening before the work should be completed to allow parents to get organised for the following day. Where possible, teachers will set work that will not need printed off but can be completed directly into your child's workbook.

The Department have said that school's should find out next Thursday whether or not P1-3 children will return to remote learning from the 22nd March.

P6 Transfer Booklets can be collected from school from Monday. Please buzz-in at the school gate and the pack will be taken out to you.

The school library can still be used to collect accelerated reading books. Please notify the school in advance if you are taking your child to avail of this provision.

Kids Wellness: P1-3 children will work with the Kids Wellness group every Friday morning in school until the Easter break. P4-7 children will also have access to this provision after the Easter holidays. The focus will be on dealing with anxiety, stress and worry at home and in school.
