We have had a great response to our upcoming Roan Run Marathon fundraiser! The Marathon will take place on Sunday 5th May in Belfast and we have a number of staff, parents and community members taking part. The fun run for all of our children will take place the week before on Friday 26th April at 6.30pm (provisional date - more details to follow).
Full Marathon Runners
Mr Mone will run the full marathon along with our parents Gerard Jones, Eimear Connell and Graham Jarvis (full marathon runners reminded to self-register via the Belfast Marathon website).
Marathon Relay Runners
We have 8 teams competing in the relay event (40 runners). We will release the teams over the next week via our school website and twitter - keep your eyes peeled!! Mr Mone has registered all relay runners - an envelope will be sent home for your entry fee (£25.00) and some other important information (age / finisher t-shirt size). Please return this envelope to the school as soon as possible.
8 Mile Walkers
8 mile walkers must ensure to have self-registered via the Belfast Marathon website and notify the school of their participation. We will announce these participants via the website & twitter also.
Children's Fun Run
This run will take place locally on Friday 26th April at 6.30pm (provisional date - more details to follow).
Fundraising
Funds raised will go towards the development of a Garden Room to be used as a calming space and learning area for our children. We will also be making a charity donation.
Relay team members / 8 mile walkers: we are asking that you strive to collect £50.00 (min) sponsorship for your efforts!
Full Marathon Runners: as above - you may also wish to set-up a 'Just Giving' page or arrange your own sponsorship.
Mr Mone's Marathon: sponsor a mile for £100! If you are not taking part in the marathon events, you can still support the fundraiser by sponsoring 1 of Mr Mone's 26 miles! You may own or know of a business wishing to get behind this fundraiser, or, you might come together with other parents to sponsor a mile.
Children's Fun Run: sponsor sheets will go out with children after Easter so that they can gather some sponsorship for their efforts!
