Introducing ‘The Meadow’

16th Apr 2021

Over the past few months Mr Grimley has been working on a very special project in our school. His aim was to create a space in our busy school for children to visit when they needed a break! This break could be for many reasons... to calm down if they are feeling anxious or to let off some steam if they are angry or frustrated. Perhaps they just want a quiet space to talk to someone or read a book.  Mr Grimley’s aim was to create a relaxing space for anyone who may need it, staff included!

After months of sanding, drilling, painting and decorating, the room is finally ready for use. It is full of amazing resources which have been meticulously chosen by Mr Grimley.

Some of the children got to visit the room for the first time on Friday and their reactions were amazing. To see their faces light up as they entered the room made all the hard work worthwhile. What was once a messy storage room is now the most magical room in our school, so thank you Mr Grimley for all the time and effort you have put in to creating this wonderful space.

Have a look at the video to see our new room... The Meadow!
