Fr Connolly Park in Eglish was the venue for today's Allianz Cumann na mBunscol All-County Camogie Finals. Roan St Patrick's Eglish, St Ronan's Recarson, Our Lady of Lourdes Greencastle, St Patrick's Dungannon, St Colmcille's Carrickmore, Gaelscoil Eoghain and Gaelscoil Aodha Rua all battled it out for the county title, and, after some outstanding camogie from all girls present, it was holders Carrickmore who made it to the final against the Roan girls from Eglish.
The final was a tight affair with both teams very evenly matched. The Eglish girls just shaded it in the end on a scoreline of 1.02 to 0.03 - the goal being the vital score!
Roan captain, Faye Daly, collected the county cup from Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Ulster Chairperson, Pat McGivern, who thanked the referees Damhlaic Rushe & Colm Dillon; Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Officer Stephen Mone; hosts Eglish GAC and most importantly of all, the girls, who were fantastic.
