Our Friends of Roan group met this morning to finalise the details around our upcoming fundraiser events. Please read the information below carefully!
Fundraising Avenues:
Just Giving link - we want all parents to share this link on their socials (even if you are not running in the event) this will allow friends / family to possibly give towards the fundraiser which covers the Disco Dash & Run for Roan marathon event: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/runforroan?utm_term=V2k7WMxjm
Sponsor a Mile for Mr Mone - this might be a business / group of parents or a family wishing to sponsor one of Mr Mone's miles for £100. 11 miles have been sponsored to date - yourself or a business may decide to sponsor this way - it's all going towards the one pot! Our Friends of Roan Facebook page will publish the sponsors for this avenue. Payment can be made via cheque or cash or via the Just Giving page (you must inform Mr Mone or Gemma Daly if sponsoring a mile and paying via Just Giving so that we can publish this on our Facebook page).
Children's Sponsor Sheet - children can gather some sponsorship for their Disco Dash - this can be any amount no matter how big or small and there is a an internal competition within the school for the class that raises the most (a week off homework for the winner).
We do not expect parents to be contributing to every avenue or feel under pressure to do so! Pick what is best for you if you would like to support us - remember - it all goes towards the 1 pot and we are very grateful for your kindness as always!
Marathon / Relay Runners Info:
We hope the training is going well for you! If you have any pictures or short video clips of your trainng runs, please forward to Mr Mone (smone720@c2kni.net) for our promotional media.
We will be asking some runners for a short '10 Questions in Minute' video clip for our Facebook page - Mr Mone will start the ball rolling on this. Video clips can be sent to Gemma Daly via WhatsApp!
T-shirt collection: marathon & relay runners can collect their commemorative t-shirts (designed by Aaron P6) from the school next Thursday 18th April at 6pm. We hope to take a picture of all runners at the same time and have a quick chat about how the relay will work on the day.
Disco Dash Info:
The Disco Dash will take place on Friday 26th April at 6pm. We ask that all children and parents meet on the pitch at Pairc Chormaic for this time. Children will run in class groupings from the pitch to the school, stopping at a number of stations for some dancing / colour powder fun / water sprinkling & general madness! This will all culminate in a short disco bash on the school playground! (More details to follow).
